During the Treatment
- Skin is cleansed and prepped
- Protective goggles are worn
- A cooling gel may be applied
- You’ll feel quick warm “snap” sensations (like a light elastic band flick)
- Treatment usually takes 20–40 minutes depending on area
Most patients describe it as very tolerable
Immediately After
- Mild redness (like light sunburn) for a few hours
- Warmth in the skin
- Pigmented areas may darken over the next 2–3 days
This darkening is normal — the pigment rises to the surface before flaking away.
Downtime
- Minimal
- Makeup can usually be worn the next day
- Pigment may look darker or “coffee ground” for 3–7 days before fading

Aftercare Is Crucial
- Strict SPF (daily, even in Ireland 😉
- Avoid active skincare for a few days
- No sun exposure before or after treatment
