Anti-Wrinkle Treatment

Soften expression lines and create a fresher, more rested appearance

Anti-wrinkle treatment works by relaxing selected facial muscles, helping to soften the appearance of fine lines and dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated expression. When tailored carefully, it can create a smoother, more refreshed look while maintaining natural facial movement. Lines that are already present at rest may soften gradually and may benefit from repeated treatment, depending on your skin and treatment goals. A consultation helps determine the most suitable approach for your concerns and facial anatomy.

Consultation to assess suitability, treatment areas and your desired outcome

Anti-wrinkle treatment is used to improve lines and creases that form through repeated muscle movement. It is commonly chosen for concerns such as forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, a cobbled chin, downturned mouth corners, lip lines, gummy smile and jaw tension in the masseter area. It can help soften existing expression lines and support a smoother, more rested appearance overall.

Anti-wrinkle treatment may be suitable if you are concerned by movement-related lines or would like a fresher, smoother appearance without looking overdone. It can be a good option for patients who want subtle, natural-looking rejuvenation and for those who wish to address early expression lines before they become more established. Your consultation is important to determine whether treatment is appropriate for your features, concerns and goals.

Your appointment begins with a consultation to assess your facial anatomy, skin quality and treatment goals. The treatment itself is carried out using a series of very small injections placed into the targeted muscles. It is a quick, precise procedure and is typically completed within 30 minutes.

Most patients find anti-wrinkle treatment very tolerable. It is commonly described as a quick pinprick or slight popping sensation, although some areas can feel a little more sensitive than others. Comfort levels can vary depending on the area being treated and your individual sensitivity.

You can usually return to normal activities straight away after treatment. Small bumps, raised dots, mild redness or slight swelling at the injection points are common and usually settle quickly. Results develop gradually over the following days and are normally fully assessed at around two weeks.

Downtime is usually minimal. After treatment, you should remain upright for 4 hours and avoid touching or massaging the treated areas. For 24 hours, it is best to avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, excessive heat, and facial massage. Mild redness, tenderness, small bumps or slight bruising can occur, but these effects are usually short-lived.

Anti-wrinkle results do not appear immediately. You may begin to notice a softening in movement and lines within a few days, with the full result typically visible after 10 to 14 days. Results usually last around 3 to 4 months, although this can vary depending on the treatment area, muscle activity and individual metabolism. With repeat treatment, some patients notice longer-lasting softening over time, while a balanced approach helps preserve natural expression.
